Rendell Unlikely to Fund Family Court Project

Cooperation or Capitulation?

 EDITOR'S NOTE
Finding the Fast Track to Success

Most of the time, you won't find me writing much about my non-YL work. I like to keep the focus on this paper and on you, not me. YL is very near and dear to my heart, and working on it is a pleasure for me, but it is also just a fraction of what makes up my job. It's similar to the way attending work-related happy hours is near and dear to your heart, but only part of what makes you a lawyer (wink).
 EDITORIAL BOARD
To Market, to Market, to Make a Job a Career

When it comes to well-intentioned advice from legal publications, Web sites or even "old guard" attorneys, almost all young lawyers would agree that their cups runneth over. Young lawyers can expect to see dozens of advice columns plugging the importance of "marketing" and self-promotion.

 THE COACH'S CORNER
Letting Go Can Be the Key to Moving Ahead

Regrets and resentments hurt more than we know. Letting go of these limiting beliefs is empowering.
 REAL WORLD Q and A
Do I Have to Disclose That?

A couple of years ago my son and daughter-in-law were lying in bed on the verge of sleep, when a horrendous crash announced the arrival of an SUV through their front door!
 LAWYER LIFESTYLES
New Ritz Rotunda Restaurant is Rosy, Appropriately Ritzy

I have a special place in my heart for the Rotunda of the Ritz-Carlton on Broad Street. I've shared afternoon teas there with family, met with friends for drinks, and shared bottles of wine with my fiancé beneath its soaring ceiling. Modeled after the Pantheon in Rome, it was the perfect gathering space, an attraction unto itself.
 THE DEVIL WEARS BROOKS BROTHER
Graduation Speech
(Minus the Graduation and the Actual Public Speaking)

I always thought I would make an excellent speaker at a graduation ceremony. Understand, public speaking isn't really my forte, so by "excellent speaker" I really mean I think I could have written a half-decent and possibly even rousing commencement speech for either my high school or college graduation.
 PECKING ORDER
Read Any Good Books Lately?

Have you read any good books lately?" This is my fallback line, and I use it to change the subject, to cover up a faux pas or to get suggestions for my annual reading recommendations.
